Lingo Donates to Children's Beach House

Derrick Lingo, son of Colonel Lingo and brother of John, Bill, and Bryce Lingo of Jack Lingo Realtor Inc. met with Rich Garrett, director of Children's Beach House. On April 7 Derrick presented Rich Garrett with a $10,000 donation. This donation will be contributed to the Children's Beach House Endowment Fund, ensuring the operation of Children's Beach House for years to come.

Lingo, founder of the annual Sandcastle Ball, has been closely involved with Children's Beach House for years. He has volunteered and assisted with field trips and swimming lessons and has been an active board member since 1996. "I truly feel that the Children's Beach House has made significant impacts on the youth of Delaware with special needs," said Lingo. "In a recent conversation, a mother had commented on the wonderful experience her child has at the Children's Beach House and the positive difference she noticed in her child. Hearing these words was very rewarding".

The Sandcastle Ball

The fourth annual Sandcastle Ball will be from 7 p.m. to mid-night, Saturday, April 19, at a local country club. All funds raised during the black tie event will be contributed to the Children's Beach House Endowment Fund ensuring the future of Children's Beach House and the children it serves.
