Susan Mills, manager of Jack Lingo, Inc., REALTOR'S® Milsboro office, has earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification. The National Association of REALTORS® offers the SFR certification to REALTORS® who want to help both buyers and sellers navigate these complicated transactions as demand for professional expertise with distressed sales grows.
The certification program includes training on how to qualify sellers for short sales, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers, and limit risk. It also provides resources to help REALTORS® stay current on national and state-specific information as the market for these distressed properties evolves. Carrie and Susan achieved this prestigious designation after completing 18 hours of course work designed specifically for REALTORS®. The courses were created in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of industry experts from across the country, ensuring designees gain comprehensive knowledge of green homes and buildings as well as of issues of sustainability in relation to real estate.
"As energy costs rise along with concern for the environment, homeowners are looking for innovative ways to save money and live responsibly", said Dick Gaylord, NAR's past president. NAR's Green Designation was developed in response to growing consumer awareness of the benefits of resource-efficient homes and buildings. The designation helps consumers who care about energy efficiency and sustainable building practices identify REALTORS® who can help the realize their green real estate and lifestyle goals.

David Tidwell is a licensed real estate broker who brings more than 27 years of experience to his team. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he received his master's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and is a lifelong resident of Sussex County, Delaware. Tidwell enjoys all aspects of real estate and has extensive commercial experience with shopping centers, office parks, and residential subdivisions.
Jeff Tidwell, a Delaware-licensed REALTOR®, was born, raised, and spent the majority of his life in Sussex County, Delaware. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Tidwell specializes in new-home construction and the residential resale market.
Britt Lenz, originally from the northern Virginia area Washington, D.C., holds real estate licenses in Delaware and Virginia. Lenz received a master's degree in agricultural marketing. After spending time at the beach with his family for more than 25 years, he moved to the area several years ago and began focusing his energy in Sussex County, Delaware. Lenz has experience in the area's second home market, residential market, lots, and land.
Over 200 people gathered in the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday Dec 2 for an all-you-can-eat spaghetti feast. Last year's winner of Rehoboth Beach Main Street's Citizen of the Year, Col. Jack Lingo, and his wife, Peggy Lingo, help to serve the "Nicola" pasta. The event helped raise $442 for Main Street and its various community programs. We're proud to be active in our community!
