Q: How long have you been with Jack Lingo, REALTOR®?

I joined Jack Lingo, REALTOR® in 2022.

Q. How did you know that Jack Lingo, REALTOR® was the right fit for you?

The Jack Lingo legacy is an important element in the fabric of Southern Delaware, and I wanted to align myself with the resident local experts. I appreciate that Jack Lingo, REALTOR® is a third-generation, boutique brokerage, and its deep roots have allowed an expert understanding of the local community.

Q. How do you think Jack Lingo, REALTOR® differs from other real estate companies?

Jack Lingo, REALTOR® differs from other brokerages due to our team mentality, cooperative attitude, and high standards. I am pleased to be a part of a strong, dynamic, and supportive team. I also appreciate how much JLR gives back to the community. That alone sets us apart.

Q. When did you know you wanted to work in the real estate industry?

MI essentially 'grew up' in retail. Not just sales but human resources, merchandising, client relationship management, training, business development, etc. I enjoy helping people make the right decisions, and I also enjoy working in partnership, as a team. So many aspects of Real Estate align with this experience. Becoming a REALTOR® has allowed me to showcase my skillset and diversity. Becoming a REALTOR® also marries many of my passions, including; maps, researching history, marketing, negotiations, problem solving, and of course 'hosting the party'! (open houses).

Q. What has been your proudest moment at Jack Lingo, REALTOR®?

My proudest moment so far has been achieving the 2025 'Coastal Real Producers' Top 100 agents by sales volume. This is a milestone I am proud to achieve in my third year as a licensed REALTOR®.

Q. Reveal one of your hidden talents.

I am also a fine artist, who enjoys the process of creation. My husband, Matthew, and I launched a collaborative art collection, Caughy Jones in 2020 (caughyjones.com). We've had several large custom commissions over the years and currently have three (3) pieces installed in local businesses throughout Rehoboth Beach.

Q. Name something you could not live without.

Olive oil! High-quality, single-source extra virgin olive oil. I put it on everything! And, I am convinced it was my Sicilian Grandmother's secret to her longevity and (great skin.)

Q. What is your favorite hobby?

Gardening. I love being outdoors. The changing light, textures, and colors keep me interested. Nurturing and maintaining my trees, shrubs, and flowers gives me peace. We have magnolia and birch trees on our property, many boxwoods, and ferns. From the moment the peonies bud until the limelight hydrangea dry on the stems–you will find me outside in the garden.

Q. If you could build anything, what would it be?

I would build a beautiful custom Hartley Victorian greenhouse, with working ventilation windows, a stone foundation, and herringbone brick floors. Clearly, I have thought about this! I would love a place to create a microclimate for all my ferns and outdoor potted treasures to enjoy throughout the winter.

Q. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I would say an archaeologist or a historian. I went through many phases as a kid! However, I always loved travel, adventure, and exploration. I was convinced I was related to Indian Jones! I would interrogate my grandparents about their past, and I loved hearing them describe the town where they grew up and what it was like back in the day. This totally fascinated me (and still does).

Q. If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why would you go there?

I have traveled extensively for my previous career in luxury fashion; however, I have never been to the two places where the majority of my ancestors are from. So, I would prioritize Northern Sicily and North Wales. I love knowing that all my great-grandparents also lived near the sea.

Q. What is your favorite local organization?

Rehoboth Art League. I am a member, a supporter, a volunteer on the Cottage Tour Committee, and recently inducted into the board of trustees. RAL is a wonderful non-profit organization that enriches lives through outreach, youth programs, teaching, gathering, creating, as well as exhibiting, and selling art. The Art League was established in 1938, along with the creation of Henlopen Acres, and it is operating on the land and formal gardens of the original Marsh/Corcran Homestead, dating back to 1743! It is a rare and unique organization.

Q. What is your favorite local ice cream spot?

Kohrs Brothers Soft Serve Frozen Custard! Plain Zane Vanilla in a waffle cone (of course).

Q. What is your favorite new local business?

I have two! I am so excited about the Market at 59 Baltimore–their fresh baked bread and electric array of sweet treats and snacks are out of this world. Also, fantastic olive oil. And my other local fave is Bay Laurel Home & Garden–for obvious reasons!

Q. What is your favorite quote?

"Turn your face towards the sun and the shadows fall behind you."
