On February 3 and 4, Carrie Lingo, Associate Broker at Jack Lingo, REALTOR®, was proud to speak to the AVID classes at Beacon Middle School. She spoke about the importance of consistently doing one's best, and she provided anecdotes about the ways in which her mindset of success helped her to thrive both during college and throughout her Olympic career.
She also touched upon aspects of working for a family-owned company, being a student athlete at UNC Chapel-Hill, and the importance of always being mindful. Carrie states, "Speaking with the students at Beacon Middle School was an absolute pleasure. The kids ended up motivating and inspiring me, when in fact I was there to motivate and inspire them. I even came away with some crucial organizational skills from their teacher, Mrs. Hughes!"
