The Sussex Gardeners recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Among them Jack Lingo's very own Wanda Davis is an active member of the Sussex Gardeners.

About the Gardeners

The club's activities benefits the community in a multitude of way. Some of their projects include providing plant materials for houses built by Sussex Habitat for Humanity, providing arrangements and docents for the Rehoboth Cottage Tour, beautiful flower arranging with clients at Gull House in Rehoboth, maintenance of the gardens at the DeVries monument in Lewes, the State Police Memorial Garden at Troop 7 and the Lewes Senior Center.

A History of the Club

Formerly called the Nassau Garden Committee with 8 members, ten years later it was renamed the Sussex Gardeners. In 1953, the group joined the Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs, and today there are more than 60 members.

We are proud of Wanda's involvement in this outstanding community asset!
