I was expecting to hire an old friend to buy a home in DE. She had retired. So, I was passed off to Zane. It was the absolute best thing to happen. He immediately showed us properties on our short trip to Lewes-Rehoboth from Florida. He immediately took control and we made offers on two properties—and were out bid. Zane kept the lines open as we continued our long distance relationship with him. Just as I was expecting to have him look into a property further out of town, the Millsboro property became known to me. Once again, he took control. Visited the property after sharing with him my absolute wants. He found the property, visited it, took pics and video that were perfect. It was new construction so I was not really worried about condition. Bought the property without visiting from Florida. Zane took control of the process, we made an offer, it was accepted and he kept us posted about every step. Believe me, doing this from Florida would have taxed the normal realtor, but not Zane. He was always available and always able to get us answers. The purchase and closing were flawless. Zane goes above and beyond normal expectations. He handled the entire process virtually. A lesser person would have been beside themselves to do what we needed to be done—because we were out of state and not able to be present at all until closing. He’s the man. It's hard to put into words how exceptional Zane was to work with. Outstanding. Immensely helpful. Unfailingly patient. That's a meager start, because he was really so much more than those things. I met Zane through friends who had recently used him as their listing agent and gave him an excellent recommendation. I was looking somewhat recreationally at first; I knew I wanted to relocate permanently to Rehoboth, but I wasn't in a hurry. Even knowing that I was most likely not going to purchase a home imminently, Zane was generous with his time and took me to see lots of places. He grasped what I was after and could see my vision of where my future home might be and what it would look like. On one of our drive-arounds, Zane added a home that I had seen on MLS, but frankly it hadn't stood out to me. I said fine, I'd see it, but my expectations were low. Well, to my surprise, as soon as I walked in, I could see the potential. It was everything that I was seeking, and more. It was not in a neighborhood I had considered, but once there, I could see how fantastic it was. I would have never looked at that house without Zane's input. And now I own it.
